This philly cheese steak over fries recipe is such an easy recipe that you can easily make in just a few minutes. You can place your beef in the crockpot or Instant Pot to make it even quicker.
Ingredients for Philly cheese steak over fries

- 1 Package Frozen French fries
- 1 Package Thinly sliced steak (sirloin or shaved steak works best)
- 1-2 Green bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2-1 Yellow or white onion, sliced
- 1 Package Shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
- 2 TBS Olive oil or butter
- Garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions

Bake the Fries
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet so they cook evenly. Bake according to the package directions until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
Cook the Steak

While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of oil or butter. Add the sliced steak and cook quickly, stirring often, until the meat is browned and cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables
Using the same skillet, add the sliced onions and green peppers. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized.
Combine and Season
Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then toss everything together so the flavors blend well.
Assemble the Loaded Fries
Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven. Evenly spread the steak and vegetable mixture over the fries, then top generously with shredded cheese.
Melt the Cheese
Place the pan back in the oven for 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and deliciously gooey.
Serve and Enjoy
Serve the loaded fries hot right out of the oven. They’re great on their own or paired with your favorite dipping sauce.
